More guidance or a preset template for exercise selection and rep range

Would love for your ideal workout to be selectable. If I choose 5 day total body, and Dr Mike or the team has already set up a similar mesocycle, then it would be great for me to be able to choose that as my starting point, and adjust for my gym’s equipment. You guys are the experts, would love your input on my workouts

    Thank you for your feedback! We attempt to do this with the presets already in the app. We don't have any that are similar to Dr. Mike's or anyone else's as they are advanced lifters and quite different from you and me. However, Dr. Mike and the team created the presets as a great starting point for most users, and users can move things around as they see fit. We will make a note to the development team to see if we can add anything to this feature and see if we can get some more fine-tuned recommendations.

  • Absolutely agreed - the app at the moment really leaves programme design almost entirely to the user. I really expected a greater level of guidance with programme design/exercise selection. Dr Mike said in one of the early videos last year that you would be working on algorithmic support for exercise selection - but even a better range of preset plans would be useful. I am only doing one month with the RP app because it is little better than using a spreadsheet, ultimately (particularly given for things like dumbbell exercises the app's suggested increases are useless as dumbells do not come in the increments the app suggests).
