How to rate soreness for "Shoulders and Traps"

When the app asks to measure soreness for the "Shoulders and Traps" muscle group does it mean:

1. Tell the app I got sore for this muscle group if both Shoulders AND Traps get sore.

2. Tell the app I got sore for this muscle group if either Shoulders OR Traps get sore.

I very rarely feel my delts get sore. My traps are usually sore all the time due to all the shoulder work, back work, deadlifts, and dedicated trap work. I'm trying to grow my delts but fear I won't get enough delt volume in if I measure soreness using #2. Which is right though, #1 or #2? Or something else?

  • Hey there,

This is a tough one but common for many people. We suggest rating it based on the soreness of your shoulders so it is more accurate. Consider some different rep ranges, different exercises, or the use of intensity techniques to see if you can connect with your shoulders better.
