New User How-to Start

First of all, very excited to start this training program. I've been watching Dr. Mike and Jared on YouTube for a good while and learned a lot about how to improve my workouts. 

I would love to see a little more guidance on starting this program. It seems like you just get thrust into the midst of it. Here's access to the app, build your first mesocycle. 

What would have been helpful to me is a short explanation of how after you build your first cycle, the first time around, you enter all the information and it's solely based on what you can do. Then the app will determine future sets etc. 

A little illustrated how-to would go a long way in getting more people started more easily and involved. 

I honestly was lost at first, looking at the templates, and then picking exercises I can do at my gym or in my home gym. 

Also, an explanation of why some sets have 3 rounds vs 2 rounds. 

I've been training consistently for 3 years at this point, started with 2 days a week and now am doing 6 days a week. 

So I chose Jared's template for a 6-day mesocycle. Was that a wise choice? I don't know. I will start my first cycle on Monday, wish me luck.

  • Overall I really like the app, and have been using it for many months, but...

    I have had the same question since starting the app -  details on using the features - and especially since the app has been updated to include a lot more features since I began.  I feel that I am probably missing out on some of the benefit just because there isn't a good guide to using the app.  The video in the link doesn't address the real question about best way to use the app, also, the video is prior to some of the updates...
