Just because you’re training for muscle growth, doesn’t mean you’ll be gaining lots of weight. If you’re on a weight gain diet plan, weight gain is very likely. But if you’re on a fat loss diet plan or maintenance diet plan, you’ll likely just lose fat and gain muscle at the same time, or lose lots of fat and keep the muscle you had, giving you a smaller, leaner look. Lifting weights only makes you bulky if you eat in bulk.
